The OTT-to-theatre jump is working. As of late evening on 4 September, Mirzapur: The Movie has collected around ₹19.5 crore net (roughly ₹23 crore gross) in India.
Over 1 million tickets have already been sold. It ran across roughly 8,000+ shows. Morning occupancy sat near 26%, jumped to about 41% in the afternoon, and overall hovered around 32-34% by evening. Night shows looked even stronger.
Top markets: NCR and Uttar Pradesh led the pack, with Bihar also showing solid traction. Hindi version carried almost everything; Telugu stayed very modest.
On BookMyShow the pace was healthy — afternoon sales spiked (one hour alone crossed 21k tickets earlier), and national chains (PVR, INOX, Cinepolis) saw steady walk-ins. Advance bookings had already locked in over 3.28 lakh tickets (around ₹9.2 crore gross) before the first show. Buzz is decent.
Fans are turning up for the Bhaukaal, first half is getting good reactions, and the franchise loyalty is clear in the Hindi heartland.
Trade expects a steady weekend hold if the evening/night trend continues — a comfortable opening that should set up a respectable first week. Final Day 1 numbers will settle by tomorrow morning. which will be updating. Check out Live Box Office Figure.
