Premada Oorali is still going strong on Day 26. The small-budget Kannada family drama, made on a reported ₹2-2.5 crore budget, has turned into one of the biggest sleeper hits of the year.
On Tuesday (20 October), the film collected around ₹4.25 crore net and ₹4.97 crore gross in India. It played in 943 shows with a solid 72% occupancy. Ticket sales stayed healthy even on a weekday, showing the film’s strong hold among family audiences in Karnataka.
The previous day (Monday) had seen ₹3.25 crore net / ₹3.80 crore gross. So Day 26 actually grew by more than 30%. Over the fourth weekend, numbers had been even better — Sunday delivered ₹5 crore net / ₹5.85 crore gross with nearly 79% occupancy.
Here’s a quick look at the recent day-wise India gross figures:
Day 22 (Fri): ₹3.50 Cr
Day 23 (Sat): ₹4.86 Cr
Day 24 (Sun): ₹5.85 Cr
Day 25 (Mon): ₹3.80 Cr
Day 26 (Tue): ₹4.97 Cr
After 26 days, Premada Oorali has reached approximately ₹99.34 crore India gross and ₹85.02 crore India net. Overseas contribution stands at about ₹2.85 crore, taking the worldwide total past ₹102 crore. That means the film has already delivered more than 40 times its production cost.
What started with just 60 shows and under ₹10 lakh on opening day has now become a genuine word-of-mouth phenomenon. Show counts climbed steadily, occupancy stayed high even in the fourth week, and audiences kept coming back. The simple rural story, strong performances (especially Rangayana Raghu), and heartfelt emotions clearly connected with viewers.
With Dussehra holidays around the corner, the film still has room to grow. For a low-budget film without big stars or heavy marketing, Premada Oorali’s run is genuinely impressive.
