Haiwaan Advance Booking: Soft Start with 2,660 Tickets

Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan’s Haiwaan has opened its advance booking windows ahead of the September 11 release, and the early numbers are modest. As of the latest update, the film has sold 2,660 tickets across 1,443 shows, collecting ₹6.86 lakh.

Delhi is currently the strongest market, contributing ₹1.61 lakh. Full-scale bookings across major national chains like PVR, INOX and Cinepolis only began properly today, so these figures reflect the initial phase rather than peak demand.

The thriller carries a reported budget in the ₹100-115 crore range (some estimates go higher), with a certified runtime of 164 minutes. Industry trackers are currently projecting a Day 1 opening in the ₹4-7 crore net range, a soft start for a star pairing of this stature.

Occupancy remains low at this stage, with bookings concentrated mainly in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and a few other urban centres. The rest of the country is still showing limited traction.

Haiwaan faces stiff competition from the ongoing strong run of Mirzapur: The Movie, which has already crossed ₹120 crore. That means the film will need solid walk-up business and positive word of mouth from Friday to build momentum over the weekend.

For a dark crime thriller that reunites Akshay and Saif after 18 years, the advance is currently underwhelming. The next 48 hours of ticket sales will give a clearer picture of whether curiosity around Akshay’s negative role and Saif’s visually impaired character can convert into stronger occupancy before the curtains go up.
