BBC Anchor Hilariously ‘Moggs’ Varun Dhawan in Viral ‘WOW’ Challenge

A BBC Asian Network interview with Varun Dhawan has suddenly turned into pure comedy gold on the internet. What was supposed to be a regular promotional chat for his new song WOW from Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai ended up with the host completely stealing the show — and social media is having a field day.

During the interview, presenter Haroon Rashid put Varun through a fun “Wow, OK” challenge. He asked the actor to deliver the line in four different ways — supportive, disappointed, sarcastic, and flirty.

Varun gave it his best shot, but the anchor’s versions were so over-the-top and energetic that many viewers felt he low-key outdid the Bollywood star. Clips from the segment have been doing the rounds with captions like “BBC anchor mogged Varun Dhawan” and “This is actually embarrassing bro”.

A lot of people online are saying the host’s energy, timing and commitment to the bit were just on another level. Some are even joking that Haroon Rashid should be the one promoting the song instead.

To be fair, these kinds of light-hearted challenges are meant to be fun and a little awkward — that’s the whole point. Varun took it sportingly and played along, but the internet has already decided the anchor won this round hands down.

The funny part is how quickly these small moments blow up. One minute you’re doing a normal interview, the next you’re trending because the radio guy decided to go full theatre mode.

Whether you find it genuinely hilarious or just another case of social media overreacting, one thing is clear — this WOW challenge has given everyone something to laugh about for the next few days. Have you seen the clip yet? Who do you think did it better?
